An Australian charity called Pedal Against Poverty raises money for World Youth International, an international childrens charity. Every year for two weeks in April it gets people to organise bike rides for charity, from fun events like a half hour ride around the local park to a long distance endurance ride like my bike tour. Pedal Against Poverty
World Youth International

World Youth International, an Australian international development organisation founded in 1988 invites you to join us in our National Pedal Against Poverty. You’ll be having fun, keeping fit, protecting the environment and helping poor communities here and overseas!

World Youth International held its’ first Pedal Against Poverty fundraiser in 2002 and this year we’re aiming to raise $100,000 to support our development work in some of the poorest communities in Kenya, Nepal and remote Australia. Money raised will be used in our work with local communities finding sustainable ways to reduce the impact of poverty. By participating you can help in providing a home, health care facilities, education or training for young people; cows or sheep to farmers’ cooperatives, water pumps for clean water to a community; mosquito nets; school supplies and so much more.
